Has it really been 5 years?

In a time where the world shut down and weddings shifted from venues to backyards

I packed up my car and drove to SoCal to photograph Layne & Cody’s backyard wedding —which how incredible is it that the base of these mountains backed up to the neighborhood?

All white everything, from the florals to the bridesmaids dresses mixed with classic black. The epitome of a sleek timeless wedding

This day will live rent free in my mind forever

Charlie and Molly lived just a few blocks apart in San Francisco, but it took swiping right to finally bring them together. They chose to spend their wedding day in the city they call home, with a ceremony at The Presidio & grabbing an uber to get some portraits at the Palace of Fine Arts. Wanting a true documentary feel, they skipped the posing and let the day unfold naturally.. every photo reflecting the real moments that mattered most.

Chapter 39

39 is such a weird age ya’ll. Nearly half a life lived, yet it feels like there’s still an entire world of experiences ahead. I still feel like high school was not long ago & Part of me still feels like the 21 yr old living in HB, convinced adulthood would mean having it all figured out and yet here I am, after 9 years of mommin’ still wondering how you can even leave a hospital with a tiny human & no instruction manual

But maybe that’s the beauty of it. Life never comes with instructions. We grow by stumbling, laughing, loving, learning, and letting the years soften & shape us.

If 39 has taught me anything already, it’s this: time moves fast, but meaning comes in the moments we slow down for. The messy, beautiful, unplanned chapters are the ones that actually make us who we are.

Here’s to the last year of my 30s… embracing the unknown, chasing joy, and living in gratitude for all the little things that turn into the big things.

Erin’s grandparents owned a vintage ice cream shop.

When Erin messaged to start talking locations, they wanted a location that felt authentic to them for their engagement photos and will flow perfectly to be displayed at their reception alongside the ice cream they’re having to to pay homage to Erin’s grandparents 🍦
